proyecto propone un viaje contemplativo en dos países que delimitan
geográficamente el continente americano: Argentina y Canadá. Haciendo
uso de elementos tomados del ensayo documental y el Left Bank francés,
esta composición audiovisual permite al espectador sumergirse en la
cotidianidad del residente –en cuanto a arquitectura, naturaleza y
sociedad— siendo testigo de una realidad diferente a la propia, pero
llena de similitudes y contrapuntos. La imagen fotográfica se inspira en
el trabajo del Dr. Atl y la banda sonora es introspectiva, ambiental y
sintética. La lógica de producción de este proyecto se aleja de la
bitácora de viaje o del documental expositivo, permitiendo al realizador
tomar decisiones libremente en el transcurso de la experiencia. El
hecho de evitar recursos como la iluminación artificial. la voz en off,
el audio ambiente o la entrevista, permite desvincular la realidad de la
imagen expuesta al evidenciar que es una representación digital que

scale video projection shows paper particles taken from the book Cosmos
by Carl Sagan, throbbing wildly inside a subwoofer simultaneously emits
different sound recordings of the solar system. In the video you can
see how millions of dust particles (from the the paper fibers), jump
wildly, driven by low frequency oscillations emitted by the speaker. The
piece offers an "alternative reading" of Sagan’s book through the
alteration of its original structure, posing a visual experience that
reminds us that the universe is not only consolidated through units of
matter and energy, but also through units of information in constant
interaction within a complex system.

Heiterem Himmel" Es un proyecto de fotografía y vídeo que Invita a
reflexionar sobre "la línea que separa" la realidad de la ficción, la
casualidad de la causalidad... la verdadera clave está en lo que designa
la palabra inglesa “liminal” (refiriéndose a ocupar una posición de un
momento inicial de un proceso, o estar en ambos lados de un límite o
umbral). Es decir, están entre el día y la noche, entre la tranquilidad y
la inquietud. No es un límite. Es un camino, un puente. Todo
necesariamente fluye o ha fluido. Bosque como metáfora de la naturaleza
en general. Me remito a las palabras del filósofo Baruch Spinoza, "Debe
asignársele a cada cosa una causa, o sea, una razón, tanto de su
existencia, como de su no existencia. Por ejemplo, si un triángulo
existe, debe darse una razón o causa por la que existe, y si no existe,
también debe darse una razón o causa que impide que exista."

momento heroico del error indaga la figura del héroe desde situaciones y
emociones opuestas a él y propias de los seres humanos, propone
evidenciar la ficción en la que está construida la figura del héroe,
como un ideal occidental, que brinda protección y orden generando una
estabilidad, que en esta propuesta se muestra deformada a partir de la
construcción humanizada de una situación heroica, infructuosa, aberrante
y errónea en la cotidianidad.

work appropriates political speeches, documentaries and
state-commissioned National Day music videos, juxtaposed with the
artist's own footages to reveal the multi-faceted nature of national
identity. Singapore as envisioned in the 1960s was remarkably different
from today, brimming with nationalistic pride. However, in the name of
economic progress, Singapore has inevitably embraced capitalism and
shook off its nationalistic overcoat. In a less than a century,
Singapore has transformed itself from a kampong slum into a city-state
boasting great wealth. The artist is intrigued at what costs did it take
to procure this material wealth and if such material wealth translates
to a cohesive national identity.

Sometimes defined “the short century”, the 1900s were filled with many events that marked the history of humanity. Videoart - a rather young art... - will celebrate its fiftieth birthday in 2013. It is time to re-examine this past we all share. The project 100x100=900 (100 videoartists to tell a century) was born with this goal. It will celebrate the anniversary of 2013, conventionally considered the 50th year of videoart (dated from a Nam June Paik video installation in Germany).
100 videoartists, from all continents, will be invited to participate in this project. Every of them will produce a video artwork inspired by one of the previous 100 years, a century. The pairings will be done randomly. All the videos will form a show that will be taked around the world during 2013. A printed catalogue will support the show. To extend the worldwide tour, the project is open to explore partnerships and collaborations with organizations and curators.
The project is under the patronage of the Magmart festival.
